The South Simcoe Police Street Crime Unit consists of plainclothes detectives who are responsible for investigating drug and property related crimes. These officers have received specialty training to provide support for serious investigations.
The members investigate all major drug investigations, break and enters at both residential and commercial locations, violent robberies, carjackings, home invasions and robberies of financial institutions.
Members also track suspects, gather evidence, perform surveillance and execute search warrants leading to the arrest of dangerous criminals and the recovery of stolen property.
