ZERO TOLERANCE: POLICE TARGET STUNT DRIVING TO PROTECT COMMUNITY SAFETY
(INNISFIL, ON) – On August 18, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., South Simcoe Police observed a white Honda Civic travelling at a high rate of speed on County Road 27 in the Town of Innisfil. The vehicle was recorded travelling at 145 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The officer initiated a vehicle stop and as a result, a 48-year-old male from Brampton was charged with:
Provincial Offences charges:
– Speeding – HTA 128
– Stunt Driving – HTA 172(1)
The accused driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle impounded for 14 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 15, 2025.
In a separate incident, on August 26, 2025, at approximately 11:25 a.m., while conducting speed enforcement, South Simcoe Police observed a red Mercedes AMG travelling at 154 km/h in a 80 km/h zone on County Road 27 in the Town of Innisfil. As a result, a 27-year-old male from Angus has been charged with:
Provincial Offences charges:
– Speeding – HTA 128
– Stunt Driving – HTA 172(1)
The accused driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle impounded for 14 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 15, 2025.
