SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE TAKE ACTION AGAINST IMPAIRED DRIVER IN BRADFORD

(BRADFORD, ON) – On August 25, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m., South Simcoe Police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Holland Street West and Summerlyn Trail in Bradford West Gwillimbury. South Simcoe Police were able to locate the vehicle described as a black BMW travelling on Holland Street West. Police investigated and subsequently detected the odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. As a result of this investigation, a 36-year-old male from East Gwillimbury was arrested and charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs – C.C. Section 320.14(1)(a)
• Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration – C.C. Section 320.14(1)(b)

The accused driver’s licence has been suspended, and his vehicle impounded. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2025.

South Simcoe Police continue to respond to impaired driving incidents in our communities. These dangerous and preventable choices put lives at risk! South Simcoe Police urge everyone to make responsible choices. Do not drive if you have consumed alcohol, cannabis, or other impairing drugs – including those prescribed for medical purposes and be sure to plan ahead to ensure you have a safe ride to and from your destination.
