SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE INVESTIGATING DRIVING COMPLAINT DURING INNISFIL SANTA CLAUS PARADE – POLICE ASKING FOR WITNESSES

(INNISFIL, ON) – South Simcoe Police are seeking witnesses following a driving complaint that occurred during the Innisfil Santa Claus Parade on Sunday, November 23, 2025, between 2:20 p.m. and 2:35 p.m.

The incident started at the Sobey’s parking lot where a grey Audi SUV was denied access to the parade route. The vehicle was afterwards observed driving in the Shoppers Drug Mart / Scotiabank Plaza on Innisfil Beach Road. When the driver was unable to exit the lot due to the parade route, the vehicle jumped a curb and drove through a pedestrian catwalk / trail south of the plaza to leave the area, exiting onto Jans Boulevard. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Public safety is at the forefront of everything we do, especially during community events that attract large groups of spectators, including families and children. The South Simcoe Police Service remains dedicated to protecting the public while supporting safe, traffic flow throughout these celebrations.

As part of our ongoing commitment to public safety, South Simcoe Police are actively investigating this incident. Police have obtained images of the vehicle involved and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact Sergeant Steve Black at steve.black@southsimcoepolice.ca.
