SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE CHARGE MALE DRIVER AFTER FLEEING FROM COLLISION SCENE

(BRADFORD, ON) – On December 8, 2025, at approximately 9:05 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a report of a dangerous driver on Holland Street East in Bradford West Gwillimbury. Witnesses reported a grey Toyota RAV4 swerving into oncoming lanes before striking a parked vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later travelling on Holland Street West and subsequently arrested the driver. Evidence of drug use was located within the vehicle.

As a result, a 28-year-old male from Kleinburg has been charged with:

• Careless Driving – HTA 130(1)
• Failure to Stop After an Accident – CC 320.16(1)
• Flight from Peace Officer – CC 320.17
• Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available – CCA 12(1)

The investigation remains ongoing and further charges may be pending. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on January 8, 2026.
