COMMERCIAL VEHICLE ENFORCEMENT LEADS TO MULTIPLE CHARGES AND VEHICLES REMOVED FROM ROADWAYS

(BRADFORD, ON) – On Monday, October 27, 2025, officers from the South Simcoe Police Service partnered with inspectors from the Ministry of Transportation to conduct commercial motor vehicle enforcement within the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

This joint initiative focused on ensuring that commercial vehicles operating on roadways are safe and compliant with provincial regulations, helping to protect all road users.

As a result of the enforcement effort:
• 14 commercial vehicle inspections were conducted
• 10 vehicles were removed from service and taken off our roadways
• 33 Provincial Offence Notices were issued to drivers
• 2 licence plates were removed from vehicles

Unsafe commercial vehicles pose serious safety risks to all road users. Both drivers and company owners share the responsibility of ensuring that their vehicles meet safety standards and are operated in a safe manner on our roadways.

The South Simcoe Police Service remains committed to road safety through continued enforcement and collaborative initiatives. We thank the Ministry of Transportation for their ongoing support in promoting safer roads in our communities.
