SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE INVESTIGATING RETAIL ROBBERY AND ASSAULT IN BRADFORD
(BRADFORD, ON) – On January 4, 2026, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers of the South Simcoe Police Service were called to the Walmart in the Town of Bradford after receiving a report that a person was assaulted. Officers arrived at Walmart, investigated the incident, and determined that two suspects entered the store and used a shopping cart to select merchandise. The suspects proceeded to exit the store after forcing the security gates surrounding the checkout area open without attempting to pay for the items that they selected and placed into the shopping cart.
A loss prevention employee confronted the two suspects to stop the theft, but one of the suspects sprayed the loss prevention employee in the face with an unknown substance. The two suspects then fled the area in an unknown direction. Simcoe County EMS treated and released the loss prevention employee at the scene. The loss prevention employee sustained minor injuries.
Officers obtained video footage of the two suspects. The suspects are described as follows:
SUSPECT 1 – White male, early to mid-thirties, brown hair, thick brown eyebrows, and brown facial hair. The suspect was wearing a grey Toronto Raptors hooded sweater, grey Roots sweatpants, and white Adidas shoes with three black stripes on them.
SUSPECT 2 – White male, early to mid-thirties with light brown hair. The suspect was wearing a puffy dark-coloured winter jacket, a white Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat with a black brim, a white undershirt, black pants, and white shoes.
