ARREST MADE IN ASSAULT INVESTIGATION AT BWG LEISURE CENTRE
(BRADFORD, ON) – On October 21, 2025, at approximately 12:50 pm, South Simcoe Police received multiple reports of a large altercation involving 10–15 youths and an older male at the BWG Leisure Centre.
Officers arrived on scene within one minute of the initial call and immediately began an investigation.
As a result of the investigation, police determined that a 59-year-old Bradford man was the dominant aggressor responsible for escalating the incident to a physical altercation. On October 22, 2025, he was arrested and charged with:
• Assault – C.C. Section 266
• Breach of Probation – C.C. Section 733.1(1)
• Causing a Disturbance – C.C. Section 175(1)(a)

South Simcoe Police are aware of community concerns in and around our parks and recreation areas and take all incidents of disorder seriously. Increased patrols and engagement initiatives have been and will remain in place to ensure public safety in these areas.
