SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE ARREST THREE FOLLOWING VIOLENT ASSAULT: TWO YOUTHS AND ONE ADULT CHARGED
(INNISFIL, ON) – On July 27, 2025, South Simcoe Police responded to a report of an assault at the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena in the Town of Innisfil.
South Simcoe Police arrived on scene and discovered that an 18-year-old male had been lured to the location and attacked by a group of individuals. During the incident, one of the suspects discharged an air pistol multiple times. Fortunately, the victim was not struck by any projectiles. His phone, shoes, and eyeglasses were stolen before the suspects fled the scene. The victim managed to reach a nearby home to call for assistance. In the days following the assault, the victim also received threats connected to the assault.
As a result of the investigation, one adult and two youths were arrested and charged with 9 offences, including assault, robbery, and possession of a weapon.
On August 19, 2025, an 18-year-old male from Innisfil was arrested and charged with the following offences:
• Robbery – C.C. 344(1)(b)
• Assault with a Weapon – C.C. 267(a)
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose – C.C. 88
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 11, 2025.
On August 18, 2025, a 17-year-old male from Innisfil was arrested and charged with the following offences:
• Robbery – C.C. 344(1)(b)
• Assault – C.C. 266
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 16, 2025.
On August 18, 2025, a 17-year-old male from Innisfil was arrested and charged with the following offences:
• Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm – C.C. 264.1(1)(a) x 2
• Assault – C.C. 266
• Robbery – C.C. 344(1)(b)
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 16, 2025.
