SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE ARREST TWO IN CONNECTION TO 31 THEFTS, 62 CHARGES LAID

(BRADFORD, ON) – Two Bradford men have been arrested in separate investigations linked to a series of thefts and frauds targeting a national home improvement retailer in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Between August 2024 and July 2025, 31 incidents were reported across Bradford, York Region, Barrie, and Orillia. Through coordinated investigative efforts, the related thefts have been successfully solved. The two suspects were arrested this week and face a total of 62 criminal charges.

As a result of the investigations, on August 17, 2025, a 42-year-old male from Bradford was arrested and charged with the following 50 offences:
• Theft Under $5000 – C.C. 334(b) x 23
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – C.C. 354(1)(a) x 23
• Fraud Under $5000 – C.C. 380(1)(b) x 4

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 4, 2025.

On August 20, 2025, a 46-year-old male from Bradford was arrested and charged with the following 12 offences:
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – C.C. 354(1)(a) x 4
• Fraud Under $5000 – C.C. 380(1)(b) x 4
• Theft Under $5000 – C.C. 334(b) x 4

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2025.
