South Simcoe Police Investigating Collision Involving Child on Bicycle

(INNISFIL, ON) – On September 14, 2026, at approximately 4:35 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a report of a 10-year-old child who had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Webster Boulevard and Rankin Way in the Town of Innisfil.

Police and emergency services attended the scene. Initial information indicates that the child had been riding a bicycle when they were struck by a black Nissan Rogue exiting a parking lot. The collision caused the child to become trapped underneath the vehicle, and the vehicle continued travelling for short distance before coming to a stop. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The child was transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre with serious injuries and is currently in stable condition.

Members of the South Simcoe Police Service Technical Collision Reconstruction Team attended the scene and are assisting with the investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation. At this time, no further information is available.
