South Simcoe Police Service provides record check services online only. You can apply for various types of police record checks online, including Criminal Record Checks, Vulnerable Sector Checks and Broad/Exempted Record Checks. Whether you need a record check for employment, volunteering, adoption or other purposes, our streamlined process ensures quick and secure application handling.

Paper copy fee: $5 (payable upon pickup, effective July 1, 2025).

If you cannot authenticate your ID online, you must attend in person with two pieces of ID.
Applications will expire 90 days after submission if documentation is incomplete or not provided.
To apply for a Broad/Exempted Record Check under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 or the Intercountry Adoption Act, 1998, please contact our Record Check Unit to request the application link:

Youth 12 to 17 years old are eligible to apply only for Police Record Checks requested by government agencies (federal, provincial, or municipal).
Online applications for Criminal Record Checks are still being accepted, however, we are temporarily unable to send electronic results. Applicants can send a request to pcrc@southsimcoepolice.ca if they would like to pick up a paper copy of their results.
The online record check service will be down for maintenance on Saturday, April 18th between 7am – 12am.
During this time, we will not be processing any online record checks.
