(BRADFORD/INNISFIL, ON) – South Simcoe Police have laid multiple charges following an investigation into a series of organized retail theft and fraud incidents that occurred between November 2025 and February 2026 at several Home Depot locations across Ontario.
The investigation involved incidents in Newmarket, Bradford, Barrie, Orillia, and Markham, where suspects selected merchandise and used various methods to avoid full payment, including partial scanning at self checkout and fraudulent returns.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old man from Innisfil and a 22-year-old man from Thornhill have been charged with multiple counts of theft, fraud, and possession of property obtained by crime.
South Simcoe Police continue to work with retail partners across the region to address organized retail crime and support local businesses.
