(INNISFIL, ON) – The South Simcoe Police Service Traffic and Marine Unit is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 89 in the Town of Innisfil.
On October 25, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a white Toyota Sienna van at Highway 89.
Police and emergency services attended the scene, where the 58-year-old male driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the van sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital for assessment.
A portion of Highway 89 was closed while police conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. Members of the Traffic and Marine Unit attended for collision reconstruction and investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
