Obtain a Police Record Check

South Simcoe Police Service provides record check services online only. You can apply for various types of police record checks online, including Criminal Record Checks, Vulnerable Sector Checks and Broad/Exempted Record Checks. Whether you need a record check for employment, volunteering, adoption or other purposes, our streamlined process ensures quick and secure application handling.

Note that: In accordance with public health guidelines, our lobby capacity is limited.

  • All Police Record Check requests must be submitted online.
  • Only residents of Bradford West Gwillimbury or Innisfil may apply through the South Simcoe Police Service.
  • Electronic results will be sent via email.

     

NOTE: If you require a paper copy, email PCRC@southsimcoepolice.ca.
Paper copy fee: $5 (payable upon pickup, effective July 1, 2025).

Do not use this system if you:

  • Have lived in Canada for less than one (1) year, and/or
  • Have no established personal credit history (e.g., no credit cards, loans, mortgage) – required for ID verification through EIV.


If you cannot authenticate your ID online, you must attend in person with two pieces of ID.

  • Vulnerable Sector Check (VS): Includes a Criminal Record Check (CRC) – no need to apply separately for CRC.
  • If applying for a VS check, you must submit a Vulnerable Sector Agency Letter completed by the requesting agency.
    • If your agency has not provided one, download the form from our website and have it filled out before applying.
  • This is a non-refundable process.
  • You must be a current resident within our jurisdiction to apply.
  • If you apply and are not a resident, fees will not be refunded.


Applications will expire 90 days after submission if documentation is incomplete or not provided.

Youth 12 to 17 years old are eligible to apply only for Police Record Checks requested by government agencies (federal, provincial, or municipal).
