South Simcoe Police Service (SSPS) services a large geographical area comprising communities with diverse cultural and economic makeups. We provide services to the communities of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury and the Town of Innisfil.
If you are a current serving Canadian police officer and would like to continue your passion in a smaller, more personal, and family-oriented service, then SSPS could be the organization for you. We serve in beautiful communities that feature rural settings of farms, Lake Simcoe and the Holland River, where people still know you by name, are engaged with and supportive of their police service.

Your knowledge, skills, and abilities are desirable to SSPS, and we will accept your application, but it might not qualify for an experienced officer application. This discretion will be made on receipt and review of your application.
Officers are assigned to a location and platoon based on the needs of the Service at the time of hire.
Applications from Ontario: If you are an experienced officer who graduated from Ontario Police College, then you are exempt from the recruit training.
Applications outside of Ontario: An experienced officer who has completed a Canadian police recruit training program comparable to the Ontario Police College program, and approved by the Ontario Police College, must write an Ontario Police College exemption exam. A candidate must have entered the selection process to write the exam and must obtain a passing grade to be considered for employment at South Simcoe Police Service. The exemption exam is based on provincial law, the Use of Force and the Highway Traffic Act.

Graduates from the following Ontario Police College-approved programs are eligible to write the exemption exam:
