Canada Road Safety Week 2021 Results

(Innisfil/Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service responded to 217 traffic-related calls for service during Canada Road Safety Week 2021.
The 7-day national enforcement campaign from May 18-24 focused on behaviours that put drivers, passengers, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users most at risk: impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving and driving without a seat belt.

During the week, officers conducted 134 traffic stops that resulted in 139 charges, including dangerous driving, impaired driving and flight from police.

19 Collisions (13 property damage, 4 personal injury, 2 fail to remain)

46 Driving complaints

4 Suspended drivers

2 Impaired alcohol

1 Impaired drug

3 Marine related charges
