Impaired Driving Charges 

(Innisfil, ON) On Wednesday, March 11, 2020 around 3:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to investigate a single vehicle collision on Big Bay Point Road north of Guest Road in Innisfil. Upon police arrival, a vehicle was located on its side in the ditch. The driver was arrested at the scene. She was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of investigation, 22-year-old Haley Champion of Barrie was charged with Operation While Impaired, Over 80 and Drive No Licence.

Driver Charged in Fail to Remain Collision 

(Bradford, ON) On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 around 7:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a fail to remain collision at the intersection of

Miller Park Avenue and West Park Avenue in Bradford. The victim told police that a vehicle turning left from West Park onto Miller park jumped the curb, drove

across the grass and hit the victim’s van which was eastbound on Miller Park. The suspect vehicle left the scene. No one in the van was injured. Investigation led

police to an address in Bradford and a suspect was arrested.

As a result of investigation, 56-year-old Lisa Ann Weston of Bradford was charged with Operation While Prohibited, Failure to Stop After Accident, two counts of

Driving While Under Suspension and Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the accused was released with a future court

date.

Possession of Stolen Licence Plates 

(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 around 1:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with stolen

licence plates in the 6th Line and Emberton Way area of Innisfil. The driver was arrested and transported to North Division. As a result of investigation, it was

determined the same driver had been stopped on previous occasions and charged with licence plate-related offences under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

20-year-old Tea Cvjetkovic of Innisfil was charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and several HTA offences.
