Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police were conducting stop sign enforcement at Canal Road and Simcoe Road in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Police observed a vehicle travelling Eastbound that did not make a full and complete stop at the stop sign. As a result, police initiated a traffic stop in an attempt to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle continued Eastbound. After two more attempts, police initiated a pursuit. At approximately 10:32 a.m., additional units were called and were able to successfully stop the vehicle.

As a result of an investigation, a 20-year-old Bradford man was charged with disobey stop sign, fail to stop when signalled or requested to do so by a police officer, and driver fail to surrender licence.
