UPDATE: Fatal Fire – Witness Sought

(Bradford, ON)  South Simcoe Police Service officers want to hear from a Good Samaritan who helped try to douse the flames at last night’s fatal apartment fire in Bradford. He was one of two men passing by that saw the fire and rushed to help. They grabbed a garden hose and attempted to extinguish the blaze that claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman.

We have spoken to one of the Good Samaritans and want to hear from the second. He is described as black, in his 40s, wearing an orange construction vest and driving a pickup truck. The brave action of these men is being credited with preventing the fire from becoming much larger. The investigation is continuing, but the fire does not appear suspicious.

We want to hear from this witness or anyone who can help us locate him. Please call South Simcoe Police Service at 905-775-3311 or 705-436-2141.
