Witnesses Sought to Suspicious Incident 

(Innisfil, ON) On Monday, February 24, 2020, around 4:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to the intersection of Corner Avenue and Killarney Beach Road in Innisfil after an animal carcass was discovered inside an open briefcase with an anti-Semitic symbol painted on the lid. The package was removed by Town of Innisfil employees for disposal.

Police believe this is an isolated incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact South Simcoe Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

Assault/Mischief 

(Bradford, ON) A Brampton man was charged with Assault and Mischief following a report of a domestic assault.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a home in Bradford where a woman reported she had been assaulted by her husband. She also told police some of her property was damaged. The victim did not require medical treatment for physical injuries. The man subsequently attended the South Division and was arrested and charged.

South Simcoe Police Service urges anyone who is a victim of domestic violence or knows of anyone who is a victim to contact police. We will investigate and have numerous partner agencies that can provide assistance including emotional support.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service responded to 85 calls for service.
