Impaired Driving Charge

(Innisfil, ON) A Barrie woman was charged with impaired driving after the South Simcoe Police Service was called to a single vehicle collision in Innisfil.
On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at approximately 11:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on 4th Line just west of Yonge Street.
Upon arrival, police located the driver uninjured inside the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Elizabeth Garland of Barrie was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired – Excess Blood Alcohol. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.

In Ontario, alcohol-impaired driving is one of the leading causes of death on the roads. Don’t take a chance with your safety and the safety of others.
