Man Charged After Collision Involving Stolen Vehicle

(Bradford, ON) On Sunday, December 20, 2020, at approximately 7:50 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to the 11th Line and 20th Sideroad in Bradford regarding a possible impaired driver and a vehicle in the ditch. The caller reported that a man was seen near the vehicle and then observed walking into the bushes. Due to the cold weather and terrain, the K9 Unit was called to conduct a track. As the K9 Unit was tracking, a man was arrested nearby and charged with public intoxication. As a result of the investigation and evidence located by the K9 Unit, it was determined the vehicle involved in the collision was stolen and further charges were laid.

29-year-old Tyler Green of Bradford was charged with Theft Over $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Public Intoxication, Operation While Prohibited by Order Under the Criminal Code and Mischief Under $5,000. He was released with a future court date.
