Impaired Driving/Over 80/Fail to Remain 

(Innisfil, ON) An Innisfil man was charged with impaired driving and fail to remain after South Simcoe Police Service officers investigated a collision in Innisfil.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, around 3:45 p.m., police responded to the area of 25th Sideroad and Trinity Street for a report of a possible impaired driver who was seen hitting a stop sign and entering a ditch. Investigation resulted in the arrest of a man at his residence. Charged with Operation While Impaired, Over 80 and Fail to Remain is 50-year-old Dallas Topper of Innisfil. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released with a future court date. There were no injuries.

Speeding/Stunt Driving 

(Innisfil, ON) A Barrie man will have to find alternative transportation for a week after a traffic stop in Innisfil.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, around 8:00 a.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer conducting speed enforcement stopped a vehicle that was travelling 152 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone on County Road 4 and 5th Line. 32-year-old Syed Raza of Barrie was charged with Speeding and Stunt Driving. His licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Speeding and aggressive driving put innocent people at risk of injury or death. Slow down, arrive alive and do your part for road safety.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 84 calls for service.
