Impaired Operation

(Innisfil, ON) On Sunday, September 1, 2024, at approximately 2:20 a.m., police received a report of an intoxicated person from Friday Harbour Security. Upon arrival, officers found the accused sitting in their car with the ignition on and noticed clear signs of alcohol impairment.The accused was placed under arrest and transported to the North Division. As a result, a 61-year-old Aurora woman was charged with Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Impaired Operation – Over 80.

Assault a Peace Officer/Resist Arrest

(Bradford, ON) On Sunday, September 1, 2024, at approximately 7:50 a.m., South Simcoe Police officers were patrolling Yonge Street in the Town of Bradford when an Automatic Licence Plate Reader alerted them that the registered owner of a vehicle had a suspended driver’s licence. Officer’s conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the driver had two driver’s licence suspensions. During the course of the arrest, the driver was uncooperative and refused to exit the vehicle. As a result of an investigation, a 64-year-old from River Drive Park was charged with Adult Assault a Peace Officer, Adult Resist Arrest and Driving Under Suspension.

Impaired Operation

(Bradford, ON) On Sunday, September 1, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to McDonald’s in Bradford following a report of a possible impaired driver. Upon police arrival, officers received a licence plate number and were informed that the suspect had left. Officers subsequently investigated and located the vehicle parked in a driveway, still running with the windows down and playing music. The accused emerged from the residence, and officers detected signs of impairment, which lead to an arrest. As a result, a 36-year-old Bradford man was charged with Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Impaired Operation – Over 80.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 when they see someone they believe may be driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
