South Simcoe Police Service to Participate in the “Run to Remember”

(Bradford/Innisfil, ON)  The South Simcoe Police Service will be participating in the 18th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Run (NPOMR) “Run to Remember” from Thursday, September 22, 2022, to Saturday, September 24, 2022.

The memorial run starts at the Ontario Police Memorial at Queen’s Park in Toronto and finishes three days later at the National Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The run coincides with the annual Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Service in Ottawa on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
A contingent of South Simcoe Police Service officers will join run participants at the service to honour those who have died in the line of duty.

Members of Survivors of Law Enforcement (SOLE) also join the runners in their three-day trek to Ottawa. While running alongside officers from across the province, the members of SOLE will also honour the loved ones they have lost and pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice before them.

The route for NPOMR travels through numerous cities and towns over the course of three days. The support displayed by the various communities along the way is always overwhelming and truly appreciated.

The NPOMR Committee invites and encourages everyone within these communities to come out and applaud our dedicated runners and members of SOLE as the run passes through their City/Town.
