Firearm Recovered Following Domestic Assault
(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers recovered a firearm and charged a Bradford man after being called to a domestic dispute.
On Sunday, October 27, 2019, around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a Bradford home after a woman advised she was assaulted and prevented from leaving the house. The victim’s boyfriend was arrested at the scene. Police executed a search warrant on the home and a vehicle.
As a result, a shotgun was recovered and a 31-year-old Bradford man was charged with the following offences:
Assault
Forcible confinement
Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Unauthorized possession of firearm
Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released with conditions.
On Monday, October 28, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 89 calls for service.
