Speeding/Stunt Driving/Careless Driving
(Bradford, ON) A 17-year-old Schomberg youth has been charged with stunt driving, speeding and careless driving following a traffic stop in Bradford.
On Monday, March 25, 2019 at 3:44 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer obtained a vehicle speed measurement of 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone on County Road 27 near 4th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury. Seconds after stopping the vehicle, another driver pulled up on scene and provided police with evidence of further reckless driving behaviour. As a result, a novice driver was charged. The teenager’s G2 licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle was seized for seven days.
