Domestic Assault/Weapons Offences 

(Innisfil, ON) A 35-year-old Cookstown man faces several charges after police received a report of domestic violence incidents.

On Monday, March 18, 2019, officers launched an investigation into a report that a 30-year-old woman was assaulted and threatened on different occasions. The investigation resulted in an arrest and the following charges:

Point Firearm

Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

Assault

Firearm or weapon: possession contrary to prohibition order

Firearm or weapon: possession contrary to prohibition order

The accused was held for a bail hearing. The victim did not require medical treatment.

Break and Enter  

(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers are investigating a break and enter at a restaurant in a plaza in Bradford.

On Tuesday March 19,, 2019 around 2:30 a.m. police were called to a restaurant on Dissette Street regarding damage to the property that was determined to be a break and enter. Investigation revealed that unknown suspects entered the restaurant and then fled with a quantity of cash in a waiting vehicle. Theft of Donation Box 

(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking the public’s help to locate a thief who stole a hospital donation box from a Bradford restaurant. The theft occurred on Saturday, March 16, 2019 around 12:00 p.m. at a restaurant on Holland Street East. The suspect is described as male, about 5’7″tall, wearing jeans, work boots, a black hoodie with a crest on the left side. On Monday, March 18, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 60 calls for service.
