Man Charged in Stabbing
(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers have charged a 22-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in downtown Bradford.
On Friday, March 6, 2020, around 1:00 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to the Four Corners at Holland Street and Simcoe Road for a report of a man that was stabbed. When police arrived, they learned that an argument between two men on the street escalated to a physical altercation and ended with a stabbing. The suspect fled on foot. The victim, a 30-year-old Barrie man, was taken to hospital where he was treated for a minor injury and released. A knife was recovered at the scene.
As a result of investigation, a suspect was identified and turned himself in at South Division on Monday, March 9, 2020.
Daniel Sampson-Hall, 22, of Bradford is charged with the following:
Assault with a weapon
Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Carry concealed weapon
Fail to comply with conditions
Possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order (4 counts)
He was held for a bail hearing.
Four Arrests in Assault on Teen
(Bradford, ON) On Monday March 2, 2020 around 3:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of large group of teenagers gathered at Kuzmich Park in Bradford for a fight. Police arrived and the teens had scattered. Investigation revealed that approximately 20 teenagers were in the park when one teen was assaulted. The victim did not require medical attention.
On Monday March 9, 2020 four teenage males were arrested and charged with Assault. They were released with a future court date.
Driver Charged Following Single-Vehicle Collision
(Bradford, ON) On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 12:00 a.m., a tractor trailer travelling northbound on County Road 27 left the roadway and went into a ditch north of Line 5 in Bradford. The road was closed for several hours while heavy tow trucks removed the vehicle and the trailer. The driver was not injured. He was charged with Careless Driving.
On Monday, March 9, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 74 calls for service.
