Arrest Following Commercial Theft from Vehicle Spree

(Bradford, ON)   A Bradford woman was charged with 14 offences following a theft from vehicle spree targeting residential neighborhoods in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

In June 2024, South Simcoe Police’s Street Crime Unit began an investigation into a theft from vehicle crime spree effecting the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.  The suspect was targeting residential neighborhoods in the middle of the night and stealing personal belongings and bank cards from unlocked vehicles. The suspect would then attend local gas stations and convenient stores and use stolen bank cards to purchase various items.

As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old woman from Bradford was charged with numerous counts of Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Fraud and Fraudulent use of Credit Card.

Police would like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked as that is the best way to prevent yourself from falling victim to this type of crimes.
