Arrest for Theft from Motor Vehicle  

(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers made an arrest after responding to a report of someone going through cars in a Bradford neighbourhood.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 4:42 a.m., a citizen called police to the area of Simcoe Road and Zima Crescent. Officers arrived on scene within minutes and an 18-year-old Bradford man was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Stolen Property, Obstruct a Peace Officer. Breach of Probation and Fail to Comply with Recognizance.

Impaired and Dangerous Driving  

(Innisfil, ON) A 44-year-old Bradford man is charged with impaired and dangerous driving after South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to a report of a disturbance in Innisfil.

On Sunday, August 4, 2019 around 1:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in the St. Johns Road and Garden Avenue. Once on scene, officers confirmed there was a fight between two men and one of the men subsequently drove his car into the other assailant’s parked vehicle. The driver was transported to North Division where breath tests resulted in readings of more than twice the legal limit. A 44-year-old Bradford man was charged with Impaired Operation, Over 80 and Dangerous Driving. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. There were no injuries.

Impaired Driving

(Bradford, ON) On Friday, August 2, 2019 around 10:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in Bradford.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Holland Street West and detected an odour of alcohol. The driver failed a roadside screening device test and was transported to South Division. His breath tests resulted in readings over the legal limit. A 44-year-old Bradford man was charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Impaired Driving 

(Bradford, ON) A 46-year-old Innisfil man is charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80 following a traffic stop in Bradford.

On Friday, August 2, 2019 around 11:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers pulled over a suspended driver on Golfview Boulevard and Simcoe Road. The driver was arrested after showing signs of impairment and was transported to South Division. Breath tests resulted in readings of over three times the legal limit of alcohol. The 46-year-old Innisfil man was charged with Impaired Operation, Over 80 and Drive Under Suspension. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Three impaired drivers arrested over the long weekend – one with more than three times the legal limit and another with more than twice the legal limit – is unacceptable. Impaired drivers pose a serious threat to the safety of other motorists and pedestrians. We are grateful to the citizens who report this criminal activity and help us apprehend impaired drivers.
