South Simcoe Police Service officers want to remind you to always lock your vehicles in order to prevent crime. Vehicle theft is a crime of opportunity and an unlocked vehicle makes it easy for thieves. Never leave keys or valuables inside your vehicle. As the colder weather starts to set in, prevent so-called ‘warm-up thefts’ by not leaving your vehicle running and unattended. We all need to do our part to help keep our communities safe.
