Pellet Gun Recovered Following Incident At Innisfil High School
(Innisfil, ON) A youth was charged with mischief following an incident at an Innisfil high school.
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, around 9:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to Nantyr Shores Secondary School on Anna Maria Avenue for a report of three youths passing around a firearm. The school was placed in lockdown. Police arrived and one youth was arrested and taken into custody. A second youth was arrested and released at the scene. The incident is still under investigation. Police recovered a pellet gun.
A youth was charged with mischief. The lockdown was subsequently lifted. No one was injured.
The Simcoe County District School Board is sending a letter to families regarding the incident.
