Assault Causing Bodily Harm

(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers made a quick arrest after a woman was assaulted at her Bradford home.

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020 around 9:00 p.m., officers were called to a home in the Professor Day Drive and Holland Street West area regarding an assault. Once on scene, police learned that a woman was assaulted after opening her door to a person who claimed to have a delivery. The suspect fled on foot but was located nearby and arrested. Investigation revealed this was a targeted incident. The investigation is ongoing.

34-year-old Lacey Ironman of Bradford was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Unlawfully in Dwelling. She was released with a future court date.

The victim declined medical treatment. Anyone with information regarding this incident or security camera video is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
