Citizen’s Call Leads to Mischief Arrest 

(Bradford, ON) A 27-year-old Bradford man is charged with Mischief after a sharp-eyed citizen called South Simcoe Police Service about a vandalism in progress.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019 around 12:00 p.m., police responded to the Line 10 and County Road 27 area of Bradford at the new bridge in Newton Robinson. When police arrived on scene the suspect had left but was subsequently arrested in Schomberg. A 27-year-old Bradford man was charged with Mischief and released with a future court date. At this point, police have no evidence to suggest that this incident is linked to the recent vandalism in Innisfil.

We are very fortunate to have engaged citizens who work with us to fight crime. Thanks to the person who called us about this incident, we were able to quickly apprehend a suspect.

From Wednesday, June 5, 2019 to Thursday, June 6, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 104 calls for service.
