(Innisfil, ON) A 25-year-old Sudbury woman is charged with impaired driving and Over 80 following a two vehicle collision in Innisfil.
On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a two vehicle collision on the 20th Sideroad north of Innisfil Beach Road. When officers arrived, they found both vehicles in the ditch. One of the drivers was being treated for minor injuries. When police spoke to the driver, an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment were detected. The driver was placed under arrest for impaired driving and transported to hospital as a precaution. Breath tests resulted in readings of nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol. The driver was transported to North Division where she was released with a future court date. A 25-year-old Sudbury woman is charged with impaired driving and Over 80. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

(Innisfil, ON) On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, police charged a 68-year-old Innisfil woman with Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop following a fatal collision in Innisfil. She will appear in court in March.
On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 around 6:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to the intersection of 14th Line and 10th Sideroad for a two-vehicle collision that involved a vehicle rollover. Four people were transported to a local hospital. Two were subsequently airlifted to Toronto hospitals and the others were treated locally and released. A 77-year-old Innisfil man later died in hospital as a result of injuries suffered in the collision.
