Impaired Driving

(Bradford, ON)  On Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at approximately 2:45 p.m.,  South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to several reports of a possible impaired driver on Holland Street West in Bradford.  Officers located the reported vehicle at a local restaurant. Officers found the driver of the motor vehicle inside the restaurant and spoke with her. The driver was showing obvious signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station for breath tests. As a result of the testing,  46-year-old Vera Correia of Bradford was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation with Excess Blood Alcohol. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days. She was released with a future court date.

South Simcoe Police would like to thank the members of the public who called the Police Service and reported this driver. Officers were able to remove the driver from our roads preventing any damage, injury or death.
