Motor Vehicle Collision

(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the South Simcoe Police received a call for a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of 3rd Line and 20th Sideroad in the Town of Innisfil.

Two vehicles were involved in a sideswipe collision at the railway crossing just east of 20th Sideroad. The eastbound vehicle drifted into the westbound lane, causing both vehicles’ airbags to deploy. One driver was transported to hospital with moderate injuries. Both vehicles were towed.

As a result of an investigation, a 49-year-old Peterborough female was charged with Fail to Share Half Roadway – Meeting Vehicle.

Single Motor Vehicle Collision

(Innisfil, ON) On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., police were called to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of 10th Sideroad and 2nd Line in the Town of Innisfil.

It was determined that the vehicle was traveling southbound on 10th Sideroad and went off road into a ditch. The vehicle sustained severe amounts of damage. All occupants were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Two occupants were later medically cleared, while a 6-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl were transported to a Toronto hospital for precautionary assessment.
