Arrest in Armed Robbery

(Innisfil, ON) On Sunday, January 10, 2021, at 10:10 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to a drug store on Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona regarding an armed robbery. Upon arrival, police learned that a man armed with a knife robbed the pharmacy of a quantity of drugs and then fled on foot. No one was injured. Several citizens assisted police in locating the suspect. The suspect was armed with a knife and refused to comply with police demands to drop it. A CEW was deployed and the suspect was taken into custody at 10:24 a.m. safely without further incident.

A 26-year-old Innisfil man was charged with Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, Disguise With Intent and Weapons Dangerous.
