Shoplifting Suspect Sought

(Innisfil, ON)  South Simcoe Police Service officers are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect following a theft of designer sunglasses.

On Friday, August 17, 2018, around 4:45 p.m., police were called to a store at the Tanger Outlet mall on County Rd. 89 for a report of a shoplifting incident.

Officers learned that a lone male suspect had entered a store, looked around for a while and then left with a pair of designer sunglasses without making any attempt to pay.

Several minutes later, the same suspect entered the store again for a brief period of time before leaving with a second pair of designer sunglasses. Again, there was no attempt to pay.

The suspect is described as brown, in his early 40’s, 6’0″ tall, heavy set, approximately 250 lbs, with short black hair and clean shaven. He was wearing new white Addidas running shoes, blue jeans, a navy blue golf shirt and dark sunglasses.

South Simcoe Police Service officers are releasing a security camera image in a bid to identify the suspect.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call us at 905-775-3311, 705-436-2141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). You can also submit information online at p3tips.com/296.
