SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE ASSIST INDIVIDUAL IN MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS
Public Safety Is Our Priority
(BRADFORD, ON) – On November 14, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m. South Simcoe Police received a call related to a mental health incident in the area of Geddes Street and Crossland Boulevard in Bradford West Gwillimbury. South Simcoe Police officers arrived on scene which occurred near Harvest Hills Public School and apprehended an individual who appeared to be in crisis. The individual was not on school property and the incident did not involve the students or staff and faculty of the school. This is an isolated incident.
Public safety is our top priority and South Simcoe Police would like to advise that there is no immediate risk to the public, or the students, staff and faculty of the school. The individual apprehended is currently being assessed for medical assistance and police remain in the area until the investigation concludes.
