MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST AND MULTIPLE DRUG RELATED CHARGES

(BRADFORD, ON) – On November 10, 2025, at approximately 12:27 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a single-vehicle collision on Tornado Drive in Bradford West Gwillimbury. A black BMW was travelling southbound on Tornado Drive from Canal Road and rolled into a ditch.

Upon arrival on scene, officers located the driver who reported no injuries. Through investigation, Police detected a strong odour of cannabis coming from the vehicle and located various packages of suspected cannabis in the vehicle. Subsequently, the driver was arrested for various drug-related offences, including possession of suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl and suspected oxycodone.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old male from Etobicoke was arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Possession Schedule I – Oxycodone CDSA 4(1)
• Possession Schedule I – Other Drugs (Fentanyl) CDSA 4(1)
• Possession Schedule I – Other Drugs (Meth) CDSA 4(1)
• Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Cocaine CDSA 5(2)
• Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Oxycodone CDSA 5(2)
• Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Other Drugs (Fentanyl) CDSA 5(2)
• Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Other Drugs (Meth) CDSA 5(2)
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 CC 354(1)(a)
• Drive Vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available CCA 12(1)
• Careless Driving HTA 130(1)

The accused was taken into custody and held pending a bail hearing.
