UPDATE: Fatal Collision – Names of adults confirmed
(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service is confirming the names of the adults killed in a head-on collision in Bradford on Friday, September 20, 2019.
36-year-old Kyle Cobet of Newmarket and his mother, 60-year-old Wendy Cobet of Barrie, were pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Cobet was driving the SUV that crossed the centre line and collided with a heavy truck around 4:30 p.m. on Yonge Street near the 14th Line. His nine-year-old son was a passenger in the SUV. The child was rushed to hospital where he died shortly after arrival. We are not releasing the child’s name out of sensitivity to the family. The driver of the heavy truck was not physically injured.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
