Impaired Driving/Resist Arrest/Utter Threats/Drug Possession
(Innisfil, ON) A 42-year-old Innisfil man faces numerous charges after South Simcoe Police Service officers stopped a suspected impaired driver.
On Sunday, October 6, 2019, around 3:00 a.m., police received a call about a possible impaired driver in the 10th Line and 25th Sideroad area of Innisfil. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle sped off and subsequently stopped in a nearby driveway. The driver was arrested and transported to North Division where breath tests resulted in readings of well over twice the legal limit of alcohol. Police seized drugs including a quantity of a white powder suspected to be cocaine. During the course of the occurrence, the accused resisted arrest and threatened officers.
A 42-year-old Innisfil man was charged with Impaired Operation, Over 80, Assault to Resist Arrest, Utter Threats and Possession of Drugs.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released with a future court date.
(Bradford, ON) A 53-year-old Bradford man was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 after a citizen called South Simcoe Police Service to report an erratic driver.
On Saturday, October 5, 2019, around 8:00 p.m., police responded to a driving complaint and conducted a traffic stop on Barrie Street in Bradford. An odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment were detected. The driver was arrested and transported to South Division where breath test reading results were more than twice the legal limit of alcohol. A 53-year-old Bradford man was charged with Impaired Operation, Over 80 and Novice Driver BAC Above Zero. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released with a future court date.

(Bradford, ON) A 43-year-old Schomberg man was charged with Speeding and Stunt Driving following a traffic stop in Bradford.
On Friday, October 5, 2019 around 2:30 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer police was conducting radar at Canal Road just east of Tornado Drive. The officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. A speed measurement was obtained of 115 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. A 43-year-old Schomberg man was charged with Speeding, Stunt Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Fail to Display Two Plates. His licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He has a court date in November.
