(Innisfil, ON) A 59-year-old Egbert man is charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 after a vehicle stop in Innisfil.
On Monday, October 22, 2018, around 12:00 p.m., an officer patrolling County Rd. 27 just south of Thornton spotted a vehicle driving erratically. The officer was able to determine the vehicle had a validation sticker from 2017. The officer followed the vehicle and pulled it over as it was about to turn onto the northbound Highway 400 ramp from Innisfil Beach Road. While speaking with the driver, an odour of alcohol was detected. A roadside breath test resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested for Impaired Driving and taken to North Division for further testing. As a result, he was additionally charged with Over 80. He was released with a court date in November.

Break and Enter/Theft Over $5,000
(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers are appealing for the public’s help in finding the owner of some stolen property.
On Monday, October 22, 2018, officers were dispatched to a home in the Holland St. West and Professor Day Drive area of Bradford West Gwillimbury for a report of a theft from a vehicle that had occurred overnight. A quantity of tools had been stolen from the victim’s pickup truck. As this report was being taken, another officer responded to a nearby address where a resident had awakened to find two saws in the living room. Investigation led police to another unit where a suspect was arrested without incident. A 33-year-old Bradford man is charged with Break and Enter, Theft Over $5,000, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Mischief and Trespassing. He was held for a bail hearing.
Officers have recovered property and are trying to find the owner of a Dewalt socket set that has not yet been reported stolen.
