Impaired Driving/Over 80
(Innisfil, ON) A 43-year-old Innisfil man is charged with impaired driving and Over 80 following a two-vehicle collision that sent one person to hospital.
On Saturday, November 17, 2018 around 6:00 p.m., police were called to the area of Willard Ave. and Lebanon Dr. in Innisfil. Once on scene, officers learned that two vehicles had collided while one was reversing out of a driveway. A pregnant woman who was a passenger in the reversing vehicle was taken to hospital for a medical check. The driver of the second vehicle was placed under arrest for Over 80 after a fail was registered on a breath test. The man was transported to North Division where further testing resulted in readings of more than double the legal limit of alcohol. The man was charged with Impaired Care or Control and Over 80. He was released with a future court date.

Stolen Auto Recovered/Stunt Driving
(Innisfil, ON) A 35-year-old man is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Stunt Driving following a vehicle stop in Cookstown.
On Sunday, November 18, 2018 around 9:30 a.m., an officer conducting radar on County Rd. 27 observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. A speed measurement was obtained of 94 km/h in the posted 40 km/h Community Safety zone. The officer conducted a vehicle stop and investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from another jurisdiction and the driver was unlicensed. The man was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was also ticketed for Speeding, Stunt Driving and Driving While Unlicensed. He was released with a future court date.
Christmas Decorations Damaged
(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers are hunting for the Grinches that damaged Christmas decorations outside a home in Innisfil.
On Sunday, November 18, 2018, around 8:00 a.m., police were called to a home in the Innisfil Beach Rd. and St. John’s Rd. area of Alcona. The victims told police that three inflatable Christmas decorations were taken down and damaged. They reported hearing noises at 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, November `17, 2018 and spotted two males running on the street nearby. The victims managed to fix two of the decorations but the third was damaged beyond repair.
