Impaired Driving Charge

(Bradford, ON) On Saturday, May 8, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service was called regarding a possible impaired driver in Bradford.
Police located the vehicle in the Holland Street and Toronto Street area and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for impaired driving.
As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Mitchell Bulai of Bradford was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired – Excess Blood Alcohol.
His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence suspended for 90 days. He was released with a future court date.

Impaired Driving Charge

(Bradford, ON) On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 5:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to a parking lot on Holland Street West in Bradford regarding a collision. Police observed the vehicle had damage and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. Officers determined the same vehicle was involved in a collision in a nearby residential area prior to the arrest. At approximately 4:00 a.m., a vehicle struck a post on a nearby street, leaving vehicle debris on the roadway.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Iryna Kuznetsov of Richmond Hill was charged with Operation While Impaired, Operation While Impaired – Excess Blood Alcohol and Dangerous Operation. Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and her licence suspended for 90 days. She was released with a future court date.

Impaired driving is a crime in progress. Thank you to the citizens who called police about these incidents. Our roads are safer when we work together.

Charges Laid in LCBO Thefts

(Bradford, ON) South Simcoe Police Service officers have charged an Alliston man following a series of thefts at LCBO stores in Bradford and Innisfil.
On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 7:27 p.m., police were called to the LCBO on Holland Street West in Bradford regarding a theft of alcohol that just occurred.
The suspect had left the store but returned minutes later and was attempting another theft when police arrived and placed him under arrest. Police determined that the same suspect was involved in a number of previous shoplifting incidents at LCBO stores in Bradford and Innisfil.

As a result of the investigation, 50-year-old Rodney Claydon of Alliston was charged with seven counts of Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and seven counts of Breach of Probation Order. The accused was released with a future court date.

 

From Friday, May 7, 2021, to Monday, May 10, 2021, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 234 calls for service.
