Charges Laid in Assault Investigation

(Bradford, ON) The South Simcoe Police Service has laid charges following an investigation into an assault that occurred during Euro Cup celebrations in Bradford.
On Sunday, July 11, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance outside a restaurant located on Holland Street West at Drury Street. Upon arrival, police learned that employees and a customer had been assaulted by a group of people trying to enter the restaurant.

As a result of the investigation, police charged three people with the following offences:

  • 50-year-old Paolo Imeneo of Richmond Hill – 2 counts of Assault, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Cause Disturbance.
  • 36-year-old Vincenzo Imeneo of Bradford – Assault and Cause Disturbance.
  • 29-year-old Alesandro Cavallo of Bradford – Assault and Cause Disturbance.

The accused were released with future court dates.

From Friday, July 23, 2021, to Monday, July 26, 2021, the South Simcoe Police Service responded to 265 calls for service.
