Charges in Fail to Remain Collision 

(Innisfil, ON) A Brampton man was charged following a fail to remain collision early this morning in Innisfil.

On Monday, August 24, 2020, around 12:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to the Sideroad 10 and 4th Line area of Innisfil after a westbound Volkswagon Golf Wagon ran a stop sign and struck a southbound vehicle. The driver and passenger of the Golf left the scene on foot but were eventually located and taken into custody. 21-year-old Colin Davis of Brampton was charged with Fail to Remain, Careless Driving and Driving While Under Suspension. Davis and the passenger were released at the scene. No one was injured in the collision.

Weapons Dangerous 

(Bradford, ON) On Saturday, August 22, 2020, just after 3:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were dispatched to the Simcoe Road and Walker Avenue area of Bradford for an offensive weapon call. The caller reported that a man with a knife had threatened a group of people at a wedding. Police located a suspect at a nearby home where he was arrested without incident and transported to South Division. 65-year-old Edwin McCrudden of Bradford was charged with Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. He was released with conditions and a future court date No one was injured in the incident.

From Friday, August 21, 2020, to Monday, August 24, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to 225 calls for service.
